This week, the crypto market took a major dive in value — on Tuesday, January 16, Bitcoin and other coins suffered over 40% losses in market capitalizations, turning the day into "Black Tuesday". Amid regulatory uncertainty in South Korea and China, BTC price dipped below $10,000 while most altcoins dropped even deeper.
Twitter users were nothing left but start joking and weeping about their crypto assets.
Calls of "hodlers" rang from every corner, though.
And went even louder as some trend was spotted.
As of 13:30 PST on January 18, the market seems to start recovering from the collapse, with Bitcoin getting back to $11,830 and most of the altcoins turning green. The total market cap went to $587 billion, representing an over-$170 billion recovery from Wednesday’s intraday low of $415 billion.
