Thailand SEC: Readies Updated Regulations for Cryptocurrency Inclusion8

The Thailand Securities and Exchange Commission says it will amend the countries Securities and Exchange Act of 2019 to provide more inclusion for cryptocurrency and other digital assets. The regulator says the move will see the expansion of scripless transactions into the primary market, paving the way for easier digital asset securities trading.

A scripless transaction is one in which only book entries are used to represent the security holding without the issuing of a certificate. The Thai SEC continues to take significant steps in creating a clearly defined regulatory paradigm for its cryptocurrency market.
