Brendan Eich is a big name in the tech industry, as a technologist and creator of JavaScript and the Mozilla Project. Eich was born in July 4, 1961 and grew up in California. His academic achievements include a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Santa Clara University and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign. Starting his career at Silicon Graphics, he also ventured into writing microkernel and DSP code for MicroUnity Systems Engineering. He then went on to create the Mozilla project as its chief architect. He has served as a CEO and Chief Technical Officer for the Mozilla Foundation, which he co-founded. He is currently the CEO of Brave Software.

In the crypto community, he is the founder of Basic Attention Token (BAT) which uses Ethereum technology for a utility based token aiming to be a unit of account for advertisers, publishers and the advertising industry. BAT’s ICO was launched in early 2017, raising $35 million in just 30 seconds. He also serves as advisor for Exchange Union Coin, which tried to enable cross-exchange trading, clearing, deposits and withdrawals.
