His venture into cryptocurrency began in 2001 as a contributor in SecondLife. He is a trained chip designer with an MBA from Harvard. He is a lead seed investor in Canva, Color Genomics, Safety Culture, Tweetdeck/Twitter, and Zoom Video. He serves on the World Economic Forum's Technology Pioneer Committee and is an Adjunct Professor of Innovation at Curtin University in Australia.
